PAVAROTTI D’ORO AWARD
In 2009, I had the honor of performing at the Pavarotti D’Oro Award, at the Asioli Theater in Correggio. The annual competition recognizes exceptionally talented musicians and was established in honor of Maestro Pavarotti by Franco Casarini (known as “Panocia”), who collaborated closely with the Maestro.
Panocia asked me to play a piece of Debussy particularly dear to Pavarotti during the competition. It was a deeply moving experience, giving me an opportunity to pay tribute to the great tenor who I had the immense fortune of knowing personally and whose titanic musicianship remains an inspiration.
